Redmask’s First Blog: We are going to sell 1,000,000 Albums & make the most Insane Mural to Celebrate it!
No, this isn’t some marketing scheme about the newest hottest band that is going to come out and woo 13-year olds. This isnt a scheme to make a boatload of money and buy an island so we can invite Lindsey Lohan to give us Lesbian Lap Dances. This isn’t even a farce so that we can make a blog in order to make fun of Lindsey Lohan, thus exploding her already positive popularity.
Our band is going to sell 1,000,000 albums because
1. We have a sound that is different. We don’t expect anyone to believe us, but hear us out.
2. We want to produce a great album and do all of the work selling it, but on a complete level. No managers, no groupies, no prostitutes, tiny bit of advertising (gotta get some people surrounding the tree when it falls). Just the 4 of us making an amazing album, making the art, signing our names, making the cds, putting them in nice cases, and sending them to you.
3. We are selling each album (even before we replicate them & do the art) at $1.99. We have sold albums before and might end up losing money doing this, but we want to prove a point, and maybe pay a months rent before its all said and done.
4. Our point in the album is a concept not being talked about. We are not different than anyone else, but there is a niche that people don’t have time to follow and we intend to show the niche to the world.
5. Every album bought we are going to place their name on a mural. We don’t know how big but probably a 11X30 would do to fit the names of those who are with our cause.
6. We are showing other bands and the world that good music can be showcased for free. There is nothing wrong with not signing to a label and there is nothing wrong with being broke for what you believe in. You are not our customers, you are our friends in the appreciation of art and music. Mentally, we don’t have the capacity to thank everyone who will take part, but there will be a Mural, and we will place it at our school for everyone to see, and for everyone to enjoy. The power of music and the power of togetherness is our goa, and we will not rest until we reach our goal.
We are currently working on the album, and when it comes out we will notify everyone and begin the process. I cannot tell you how excited we are about the project and how much we know you will enjoy this album. We are NOT going to expose any tracks on the album, but if you feel like downloading it for free somewhere by all means go ahead. We can say if you don’t listen to soul or rock music, then this cd will not be for you. But we can tell you that it will be one of the best cd’s of the 21st century and you will remember it for the rest of your life.
